If you’re shopping for a new SUV around Houston, you may have come across the 2022 Buick Encore or the 2022 Honda CR-V – two of the top choices on the market today. These two SUVs both have a lot to offer when it comes to performance and features, but how do they stack up? Big Star Buick GMC has put together a guide comparing the Buick Encore vs. Honda CR-V below, so read on! Then, head to our online inventory to browse our stock of available Buick Encore models.
With the Buick Encore, you can choose from front-wheel drive (which comes standard), or all-wheel drive if you’re planning on taking your Buick on rough terrain. Here are the full performance specs for the Encore:
The Honda CR-V pulls ahead a little when it comes to fuel economy and horsepower, but it lags in terms of torque. Ultimately, the slightly higher numbers may not be enough to justify paying more – you’ll have to make that decision yourself based on your available budget. Check out the full specs:
Both the Buick Encore and the Honda CR-V come with top-notch interiors with plenty of space for passengers and cargo, and a suite of advanced technology to keep your Channelview rides smooth and comfortable. However, the Buick Encore comes with a bit more when it comes to standard interior features – some of these features are available on the CR-V, but only at more expensive trim levels.
With the Buick Encore, a 7.0-inch touchscreen equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto comes standard, along with onboard WiFi, SiriusXM radio, auxiliary input, and a six-speaker audio system. The Honda CR-V’s standard infotainment system comes with a 5.0-inch radio screen without auxiliary input or streaming audio – you can get a 7.0-inch touchscreen with SiriusXM, but only at a higher trim level.
The Buick Encore also comes with a more generous set of warranty options compared to the CR-V. The limited warranty covers 4 years or 50,000 miles, while the powertrain warranty covers 6 years or 70,000 miles. The Honda CR-V’s limited warranty only covers 3 years or 36,000 miles, with a powertrain warranty of 5 years or 60,000 miles. Buick also offers a complimentary maintenance visit the first time your new car needs service, while Honda does not.
